Remember last week when I mentioned getting a new puppy?

Well - DAMN, I forgot how much work a new puppy is. She's a MESS! And I mean that in every sense of the word.

I am a dog lover from way back. In fact, I don't remember a time in my life that I didn't have at least one dog. My goal in life is to have about 5-acres of land where I can have several dogs running around (plus a couple of horses and chickens and fainting goats). My husband's goal in life is to convince me I only need one dog at a time. (he's on board with horses and goats)

Anyway...

Tools!

So, if you are using social media (you better be!!!) you may have a problem finding great images to share for your destination. This is especially true if you aren't always in your destination.

Well, I have a couple of great tools that I use to help you find shareable images for your social media (website, brochures, etc.)\

The first is Unsplash. Unsplash is a place where budding photographers can share photos that are copyright free. You can create a free account and save images you love, download them, use them in your social media, etc. I believe the only limitation is selling the images. They ask you to give credit to the photographer, which I find easy to do on social media (send me a message on Facebook, Instagram or here if you want to know how I do it)

Here's a link to some Unsplash images for Austin, Texas so you can see an example.

Another great image curation tool I use is Flickr. Although Flickr does have many images with copyright restrictions, I have found many of the photographers will kindly allow you to use the image as long as you give credit you can also search for images with no copyright restrictions. With Flickr you can find images in certain locations or by theme.

Here's a link to Flickr images from Austin.

Note, with Flickr many of the photographers are professionals and use this as an online gallery of their work. Read about all the creative commons copyright restrictions and be sure to credit work as required by the different creators. If you need help with this, feel free to reach out to me.

Tips

Do you have Google Analytics set up on your website? Do you ever look at it? It's really a great tool to help with your marketing, advertising and SEO. I created a short video to show you two different reports with some good info for you to know about your website. Check it out and let me know if you saw any surprises when you were looking.

The video is on my Facebook page - so feel free to "like" my page while you are there if you haven't already, and click the button to join my free marketing group"
